Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how FIG Benefits LLC ("FIG Benefits," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit figbenefits.com, submit a form, use our AI assistant, or otherwise contact us through the website (together, the "Site").
This policy does not govern a third party's independent processing. Insurance carriers, for example, process applications and policy information under their own privacy notices once you decide to apply.
Information you provide
Please do not send health conditions, medications, Social Security numbers, Medicare numbers, or dates of birth through the Site. Our forms and assistant are designed to refuse that information. Details like these are collected only by a licensed agent through secure carrier processes when you decide to apply for coverage.
- Contact and request details you submit through our quote, contact, callback, or referral forms, such as name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, the type of coverage you are interested in, and any notes you add.
- Information about a person you refer to us, which you confirm they expect us to use to contact them.
- Messages you type into the AI assistant. Nothing from an assistant conversation is stored unless you confirm a request on screen; see the AI assistant section below.
- Consent records: the wording you agreed to and the time you agreed.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and diagnostic or security events. We store a one-way hashed form of your IP address with form submissions to detect abuse; the hash cannot be turned back into your address.
We use cookieless website analytics that measure page views and performance without identifying individual visitors. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics that use cookies, we will update this policy and provide any required consent choices first.
The AI assistant
The Site offers an AI assistant that answers general questions about FIG Benefits and insurance concepts and can prepare a quote request, callback request, or referral for you. It is an automated system, not a licensed agent, and it does not quote prices or recommend specific plans.
Your messages are sent to OpenAI to generate responses. Conversation history is kept in your browser for the current session only. Nothing is saved on our systems unless you explicitly confirm a request on screen. When you confirm, we store the request details you approved along with a brief summary and the recent messages so our team has context; that transcript is deleted after 180 days. We also record anonymous usage events (for example, that a conversation started or a request was confirmed) without message content, retained for up to 13 months.
How we use information
- To respond to your request and provide quotes, callbacks, or referrals you asked for;
- To send you a confirmation of your request and follow up as promised;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing spam and abuse;
- To keep business records and comply with insurance, tax, and other legal obligations; and
- To send marketing communications only where permitted and with a way to opt out.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and respond to you, with insurance carriers when you ask us to pursue coverage, when required by law, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising.
Our current providers are Vercel (website hosting and cookieless analytics), Supabase (database and administrative sign-in), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on forms), Sentry (error monitoring, with personal details removed), and OpenAI (AI assistant responses). Each processes information on our behalf under its own terms.
Retention
We keep request records as long as needed to serve you and to meet our business and legal obligations. Assistant transcripts attached to confirmed requests and hashed IP addresses are deleted after 180 days. Anonymous analytics events are kept for up to 13 months. Records related to an insurance application or policy follow the retention rules that apply to insurance producers.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls limited to our staff, and bot protection on forms. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by calling our office or writing to the address below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
